The organisation is a non profit, headquartered in Bangalore. The purpose is to innovate, demonstrate, and mainstream inclusive water and sanitation solutions. We aim to accomplish this purpose by developing contextualised, decentralised and resilient nature-based solutions through adoption of systems approach. Project and Program Management -Possess knowledge of WATSAN sector, design thinking, cost & constructability know how, day to day project management activities -Conduct site visits for feasibility studies/surveys like city scale/district scale feasibility and planning activities, survey, proposals, investigations -Data assessment, proposal and concept preparation, requirements gathering, systems engineering design -Manage and oversee bill of quantities, time and cost estimates -Site visits for construction supervision/ensuring quality control/commissioning -Support regular operation and maintenance activities for the infrastructure put in place -Coordinate with client, project scheduling and materials management -Preparation of detailed visit/project reports -Constant communication and coordination with teams across multiple sites and areas -Creation and oversight of project budget -Review project progress, ensure quality implementation, coordinate tasks, and mitigate risks -Communicate and plan change management activities involving scope, schedule, etc. -Support preparation of knowledge management material -Preparation of tender documents and review of technical submissions -Liaise with various bodies and individuals, including local authorities, government agencies, clients, contractors, residents, suppliers, technical experts and other team members/consultants -Ensure compliance of specific grant programs to ensure that it meets the contract guidelines and requirements, and is well drafted, complete in all aspects -Drive efficient PMO practices and improvements and on-going retrospection to foster continuous improvement -Driving continuous improvement for efficiently delivering better, higher impact programs at greater scale, year over year -Implementation of techno-social interventions for the community, ability to mobilise and create acceptance Key Performance Indicators -Project delivery and completeness, Client and donor satisfaction, Effective relationship management, Financial budgeting and reporting. -Innovations and new opportunities, Business development avenues, Various organizational building initiatives and contributions. Qualifications, Experience and Eligibility - Bachelors in engineering is a must to have (civil is preferred). Additional eligibility criteria will be a Masters in management, development, social sciences, environment, sustainability or sanitation etc. MBA/Masters from premier and reputed management institutes is preferred. -Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience with at least 2 years experience in leading projects and/or operations functions with min 2 years at middle management roles. -Experience in innovating and implementing programs related to environment and climate resilience -Sustainability studies with regulatory, urban, water policy and governance will be valued -Knowledge of blue-green Infrastructure, water and sanitation sector is a plus -Interest and orientation to nature based, environmental and community centric programs within entire water resource management cycle including, source strengthening, waste water treatment and waterbody rejuvenation -Experience in commercially tracking the project / program with respect to budgets, managing client / donor relationships at all levels. -Experience in project delivery for the Govt of India/State Governments is a plus. Sector insights and experience with NGO, non-profit, intergovernmental, quasi-govt organizations is an added advantage. -Ability and skills to understand, collect, map, analyse data from multiple stakeholders like [demographics, climatic conditions, groundwater and surface water resources, rainfall, soil type, land use, etc. and their interlinkages, hydrological aspects, e.g. natural drainage pattern, topography and contours] -Ability to conceptualize broad solution approaches, strong capability to conceptualize and visualize technical solutions described by engineers/programs managers and develop concept sketches, basic understanding of spatial planning, GIS is preferred, MS Office, AutoCAD -Understanding of the solid waste, feacal sludge, industrial waste, wastewater characteristics, treatment technologies, conducting feasibility studies, design of treatment infrastructure -Able to mentor, develop, and coach juniors. Provide the team with a strong sense of purpose and vision, inculcate a social impact drive. -Ability to work under high pressure and to submit high quality deliverables within short timeline, ability to work independently, good organizational discipline and conduct -Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate diverse groups, help negotiate priorities, and resolve conflicts among stakeholders -Willingness to travel for projects, trainings and various connects -Good reading, writing and verbal skills in English language, knowledge of other one or more languages is a plus -Exposure and interest towards gender and inclusion issues is a huge plus.
