Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Management: Lead and mentor a team of Electrical Engineers, Automation Engineers, and Application Engineers supporting our Control and Automation products. Project Oversight: Ensure the timely completion of Controls and Automation design tasks, and manage multiple concurrent projects efficiently. Technical Excellence: Review and approve ECOs, design packages, BOMs, firmware/software, math data, and other technical documentation. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Provide electrical and automation expertise to assist engineering teams in completing large cross-functional projects. Research & Development: Support R&D activities and validate embedded hardware systems, schematics, and PCB assemblies. Embedded Systems Design: Develop and validate embedded software in C, and program microcontrollers and PLCs to ensure robust, error-free communications. Quality Assurance: Review design risk assessments, verification, and validation activities, and address root causes of issues through Corrective Action Reports (CARs). Qualifications: Education: B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent education and experience. Experience: 3-7 years of experience managing and leading technical staff in roles such as engineering manager, supervisor, or technical team lead. Standards & Compliance: Experience with UL, IEC, FCC, and similar standards for electrical system design and regulatory compliance. Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of embedded system design, firmware, and software development in C; familiarity with EPLAN Electric P8 and Altium Designer. Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining high productivity and meeting deadlines. Additional Skills: Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), and Industrial Ethernet communication protocols is desirable.
