Our client is EPC for the Oil & Gas business. They are looking for a Piping Engineer to support all fabrication/construction Projects. Position: Piping Engineer Type of hire: 1 Year Contract Working: Monday Friday and Half day on Saturday Location: Chonburi Starting Date: ASAP Responsibilities: Review and analyze piping design packages for constructability and identify potential issues that could impact fabrication, construction, or load-out. Develop and implement piping fabrication procedures, including material selection, welding techniques, and quality control protocols. Collaborate with construction teams to ensure piping is fabricated and installed according to design specifications and project schedule. Perform piping stress analysis to ensure systems can handle intended loads and pressures. Generate piping isometric drawings, bills of materials, and other construction documents. Participate in pre-construction meetings and provide technical support during fabrication and construction. Conduct inspections of piping fabrication and construction activities to ensure adherence to quality standards. Identify and resolve piping-related problems that arise during construction. Prepare load-out plans for piping spools and modules, ensuring safe and efficient transportation to the installation site. Maintain accurate and complete piping engineering documentation. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in piping design and engineering, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry. Strong understanding of piping codes and standards (e.g., ASME B31.3). Proficiency in piping design software (e.g., AutoCAD, PDMS, SP3D). Experience with piping stress analysis software (e.g., Caesar II, Auto PIPE). Excellent knowledge of fabrication and construction methods for piping systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Experience with load-out planning for piping spools and modules a plus.
