Looking for an initiative and creative specialist to be part of the team Working with global professionals, based in Ulaanbaatar This role will be responsible for the following functions to maximize the value of Rio Tinto's major contracts: Contract Management: Provide guidance and direction to internal & external stakeholders including but not limited to: Contract interpretation & Intent; Contract, Content, and Limitations; Financial issues or concerns; Contract administration queries; Benefits; preparation of Vendor Scorecard Manage contract approval & variation processes, and review variations to Contracts including umbrella contracts and project contracts. Ensure alignment with umbrella contractual terms, and adhere to financial approval procedures Manage the operational effectiveness of vendor Governance frameworks including review & attendance of contractually required governance forums, ensure alignment to strategic objectives, review & validation of governance forum documentation Contractual Deliverable & Obligation Management, ensuring performance and reporting obligations are complied with by vendors, and non-compliance is reported and managed Financial oversight over commercial engagement with strategic vendors, identify billing errors, support resolution of billing disputes, and provide financial reporting to service line leads and senior leadership Specialize in vendor Service Level Performance frameworks, define Service Level Agreement metrics and design service level calculation algorithms. Validation of credit regimes including Balanced Scorecards and Critical Service Levels What you will bring: Degree qualified or higher in Commercial Management, Procurement, Accounting, Audit, Finance, or Information Technology Ability to read, write and understand complex contractual documents with more sophisticated vocabulary and varied verb tenses in Mongolian and English languages Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI or desire to learn Demonstrated experience in contract management, compliance, and stakeholder management Demonstrated experience in managing external providers and third parties, including the ability to debate and hold a position with reason, while also applying an understanding of alternative views/solutions Ability to work independently & seek solutions to complex problems Attention to detail, both in numbers (financials) and contract (or similar) documents, and strong data analysis & excellent management reporting skills Contract length: 6+6 months What we offer A competitive base salary with an annual incentive program A work environment where safety and personal well-being are always the number one priority Career development & education assistance to further your technical and leadership ambitions Flexible working arrangement Leave for all of lifes reasons (vacation/annual, paid parental, sick leave) About Rio Tinto  Rio Tinto is a leading global mining and materials company.
