Job Title: Registered Veterinary Nurse Location: Harlow, Essex Job Type: Permanent, Full-time Hours: 40 hours per week across 4 x 9.5 hour days 1 in 3 Saturdays and very occasional late inpatient checks. Part-time candidates will be considered provided they are able to work in the afternoons/evenings. Salary: £30,000 GBP Team Structure: You will be joining a supportive and friendly team consisting of: 5 Vets 7 Nurses 3 Receptionists Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality nursing care to all patients. Assist veterinarians during surgeries and medical procedures. Monitor and care for hospitalized patients. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians. Perform diagnostic tests, such as blood tests and x-rays. Educate and advise pet owners on animal health, nutrition, and preventative care. Maintain accurate patient records. Assist with reception duties as needed. Ensure a clean and hygienic environment within the practice. Required Qualifications and Skills: Must be a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with a recognized qualification. Proven experience in a similar role within a veterinary practice. Strong clinical skills and knowledge. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Compassionate and caring attitude towards animals and their owners. Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and occasional late checks. Preferred Qualifications and Skills: Experience with a variety of animals including exotics. Additional certifications or specializations in veterinary nursing.
